The moment of death which our predecessors went through is no different from the one we will go through. Death is of course inevitable; and this implies that each one of us shall 'taste' it and 'drink' it. Master and servant; governor and the governed; the rich and poor; and nations have all tasted death or felt what it is like to die. Allah (SWT) says: (But how many (countless) generations before them have we destroyed? Can't you find a single one of them (now) or hear (so much as) a whisper of them?)(Surah Maryam: 98) -
