Umar ibn al Khattab (2 Vols) HB

Original price was: £24.95.Current price is: £23.00.
By Ali Muhammad Sallaabee. The second caliph of Islam, ‘Umar ibn al-Khattâb faced more struggles than any other Muslim leader in the early onset of Islam. His life began in a time of ignorance and ended during the Golden Age of Islam. Under his leadership, the Muslim world was witnessing some of its most notable conquests in the history of Islam. The strength and resilience of Islam’s leaders were being tested, and ‘Umar ibn al-Khattâb’s true commitment to Allah shone to reveal an Islamic spirit unlike that found in any other Muslim leader. The standards by which he lived can teach us a lot about determination, hardship, and success. This book was translated into English by Nasiruddin al-Khattab. From the Translator: For those who would be leaders, this book offers the model of an ideal Muslim leader, one who felt responsible before Allah for the well being of all those under his rule, including his troops, women, infants, non-Muslim subjects and even animals. ‘Umar was a 'hands on' leader who kept himself informed and consulted scholars and experts before every major decision. For the rest of us, this book offers a window into an exciting and important period of Islamic history, and it also reminds of an important lesson, that our strength comes not from wealth or money or status, but from our submission to Allah and our commitment to the path of Islam.
  • Believing in the Oneness of ALLAH is a basic fundamental in Islam. This belief establishes the relationship between human beings and their Rubb (Lord). As a Muslim, we firmly believe that ALLAH is the Creator, Sustainer's and the true God; only He has the right to be worshipped, there is no partner with Him and only He has created the universe. In this booklet, which is basically meant for the children, we have prepared 50 questions on the belief of Islamic Monotheism and provided short and simple but comprehensive answers to them. Islam is the religion that ALLAH has chosen for mankind. It is a way of life that affects every aspect of man's life, the social, the political, the economic, etc. Islam has a solution to every problem regardless of its nature and gravity. It is a Divine message, which ALLAH chose Muhammad صلی الله علیه وآله وسلم to convey to mankind. Islam considers all forms of life as sacred. In this book we have tried to convey the basic rules and regulations concerning Islam.

  • The moment of death which our predecessors went through is no different from the one we will go through. Death is of course inevitable; and this implies that each one of us shall 'taste' it and 'drink' it. Master and servant; governor and the governed; the rich and poor; and nations have all tasted death or felt what it is like to die. Allah (SWT) says: (But how many (countless) generations before them have we destroyed? Can't you find a single one of them (now) or hear (so much as) a whisper of them?)(Surah Maryam: 98)
